This Friday is fire safety day at CAL! The Latimer Fire Department is holding activities for the elementary students to teach them about the dangers of fires, and what to do if there is one in a home. Seniors with a connection with a fire department are helping out!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JV FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!!  On Monday, they had their first win against the Clarksville Indians.  They won with 6 seconds left in the game! Way to go boys!

Homecoming is just around the corner! CAL students are getting ready to wear crazy outfits all week long. Go out and start shopping while Halloween costumes are available. The list of dress up days are included in the Homecoming article. Students remember: the class will be awarded points to go towards the overall homecoming prize!

One of the most prestigious awards in high school journalism was received by a fellow reporter writing for the Cadet Gazette. One of my stories was chosen to be published on the national high school journalism website! Now our goal is for everyone in the publications class to have one of their stories published in the national high school journalism website.
